We're taking a look at the latest 2024 Monaco Grand Prix odds from our best sports betting sites with Max Verstappen the favorite for Sunday's race at Monte Carlo.

One of the most significant races on the Formula 1 calendar takes place Sunday with the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix beginning at 9 a.m. ET from the famed Circuit de Monaco through the streets of Monte Carlo.

Max Verstappen, the runaway favorite by the latest F1 championship odds, won this race in 2021 and 2023, and he enters the weekend as the clear favorite to become the first repeat winner since Nico Rosberg (2013 to 2015). He's dealing as short as -200 across our best sportsbooks to take his sixth race over eight tries in 2024.

Verstappen is not the only driver with a shot to win over Memorial Day weekend, which will be a busy time for racing fans. Sunday's grand prix comes hours before bettors await the results of the Indy 500 odds for IndyCar and the Coca-Cola 600 for NASCAR.

Here's a look at the latest 2024 Monaco Grand Prix odds and favorites (odds via our best sports betting apps).

Favorites to win Monaco Grand Prix

Max Verstappen (-140 via FanDuel)

It shouldn't surprise anyone to see Verstappen dealing as the odds-on favorite to win this race, as he is ahead of every grand prix. The actual surprise is how generous these odds are for the defending race winner.

Entering Sunday, Verstappen has won five of seven races in the 2024 F1 circuit (71.4%), but these -150 odds imply just a 60% chance that he'll win on Sunday, according to our odds converter. That comes even with the Dutch star winning this race twice in the last three years, and a third-place finish in between.

He's only taken the pole once over eight Monaco races though, and Verstappen is dealing at plus-money to be the fastest qualifier this week. If he's not, that could open the door for one of the other contenders to steal the checkered flag at Monaco.

Lando Norris (+550 via DraftKings)

The last driver to win an F1 race besides Verstappen, Norris snapped a 109-race winless streak to open his career while taking the checkered flag at the Miami Grand Prix earlier in May. He followed that with a second-place finish last week at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Italy.

Can Norris score the second win of his young career at this famed track in Monaco? He owns the second-shortest odds to be the fastest qualifier, which would give him a leg up on a track where it's famously tough to execute quality passes.

Charles Leclerc (+550 via DraftKings)

Leclerc, a Monaco native, has still never taken the checkered flag at his home track despite years of close calls on the streets of Monte Carlo.

The 26-year-old suffered a brake failure during his first Monaco Grand Prix as an F1 driver in 2018, and he missed the podium in 2021 and 2022 despite taking the pole both years. He started and finished sixth in the 2024 race that Verstappen took.

Sergio Perez (+2300 via BetMGM)

We'd be remiss if Perez wasn't highlighted. He's the "other" Red Bull driver who's also the last non-Verstappen pilot to win this race.

Perez started from the third spot in the rain-soaked 2022 Monaco Grand Prix, but his team executed a strong pit strategy to outlast Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, the two cars ahead of him in qualifying. He remains the only active driver besides Verstappen (2021, 2023) and Lewis Hamilton (2008, 2016, 2019) to win here in Monaco.

These +2200 odds from BetMGM are also a major outlier compared to his next-best price of +1600. The figure implies a mere 4.17% chance that Perez wins Sunday, and a winning bet would pay out $230 on a $10 wager.

How to bet on the Monaco Grand Prix

The most popular bet on the Monaco Grand Prix is picking which driver will win outright. To place that wager, simply select an outright winner from your favorite sportsbook.

Another common bet is to wager on whether a driver will record a podium finish. Similarly, you can bet on a top-six or top-10 result. The practice and qualifying winner can also be wagered on prior to those events, and there are matchup props that pit drivers against each other.

The most unique props are the "without" markets. These often remove the heavy favorites who are stomping the field regularly, like Max Verstappen and Red Bull. Bettors then need to pick from the best of the rest.

DraftKings is offering a "without" market for the 2024 race and qualifying that removes every driver from Red Bull, McLaren, Mercedes, Ferreri, and Aston Martin.
